Jennifer Tomlin is a queer Southern California-based writer and director who uses her varied life experiences to inspire her fantastical but grounded stories. Jennifer has worked odd jobs from movie theaters and local government to jails. The real life characters she has encountered along the way take on new lives within her work. She graduated from UC Santa Cruz in 2014 with a BA in Film and Digital Media Production and has since produced a number of award winning short films. Her feature narrative script "The Struggle is Reel" is in the festival circuit with a number of placements and wins including the Red List and being a 2024 finalist for both the Atlanta Film Festival and the Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards. Jennifer is a member of AGBO's Storytellers Collective.
